As You See It Challenge #186 - Flag Me Down

This weeks challenge is all about “flags”....  here is an excerpt from the challenge blog defining the challenge....

“But for our purposes, a flag is a narrow piece of paper with a notch or slant cut at one end. Add them to your project as the sketch indicates!“

This one is going to be a bit more of a challenge for me as I’m away from home with no craft supplies.... so I will have to get very resourceful in creating this card!

I did have to go out and purchase some Tombow glue, black and white card stock and some black ink. Then I searched through my mom’s junk drawers and found a ruler, pencil, scissors, an eraser and I even found some white crochet cotton ... things are looking up 😝
Definitely had a challenge on my hands...  As I continued to search I found this one lonely Stampi’ Up! Stamp that I used for the sentiment. I’m not even sure what set it came from.

So here’s my take on the challenge... I created three larger flags to help add more interest to the card, and to incorporate the larger sentiment from the only stamp I had...

Supplies Used:

  1. You certainly went the extra mile to play along with us this week, from purchasing supplies to a treasure hunt in someone else's house! It's amazing what can be done with so little! The flags have got larger to accomodate the sentiment of your only stamp, so an ingenious solution. Thanks for going to all the effort to join in with us this week at As You See It.

  2. You did a great job with the supplies on hand...lovely sentiment and the papers and crochet cotton look lovely with it! Thanks for playing with our challenge this week!

  3. I love your choice of papers and the colours! It all goes together so nicely! Thanks for your ingenuity and for playing along with us at As You See it Challenges.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, I appreciate each one. All replies will be in the comment section, please check back to read them once I figure out how to use Blogger - LOL!
